Who We Are

Our Story

The ER Give Back Foundation began in 2017 as an informal initiative by students and professionals committed to giving back to society. Officially registered in 2022 as a non-profit, the foundation focuses on providing scholarships, educational outreach, research support, and mentorship to underserved Ghanaian students.

Our Vision
A Ghana where every capable student, regardless of background, has access to the education and support needed to succeed.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.

Our numbers that speak

Since our inception, we have supported students in Earth Science and other disciplines through scholarships, organized community outreach programs like the Campuni-Sheini Village initiative, and collaborated with institutions for research training such as the WAXI-BRG workshop.

Our Team

Prof. Prince Ofori Amponsah

Founder/Executive Director

Prof. Prince Ofori Amponsah is an accomplished geologist with over 14 years of experience in mineral exploration and academic research. His leadership in major gold discoveries and his expertise in tenement management and mining regulations have made him a respected figure in the industry.

Holding a Ph.D. from Université de Paul Sabatier in France and multiple degrees from the University of Ghana, Prince is also a published academic and an Associate Professor in Economic Geology. Through The ER Giveback Foundation, he channels his success into empowering communities and supporting education — a true reflection of his commitment to giving back.
